WikMail Stationery Tutorial
Pictures
This "Pictures" Stationery Tutorial for WikMail involved a little juggling by me to get the measurements right in the stationery creator. I also had trouble deciding which folder I would put it in. So I had to create a new one called Misc. All the graphics were prepared using Paint Shop Pro(PSP).
You will be using the two graphics shown here for this tutorial. The pics shown are smaller than what you will be using to complete the tutorial. To download the full size images, left click on each pic, a new browser window will open with the full images showing. right click and 'Save As' to a place on your computer where you can easily find them. You will also need to download this Midi File.Cavatina right click and "Save Target As". Store the midi file in your music folder, C:/My Documents/My Music, usually
Let's begin the Pictures StationeryTutorial
Open Stationery Creator - Menu /Tools/Stationery Creator. See below.

In Stationery Creator Click on Sections/General.

Stationery Name
I have called this stationery "Pictures" however you can call it whatever you wish.
Scrollbars Colors
If you like the scroll colors I have chosen then just copy the numbers straight into the four areas However, you do not have to use these colors and can play around with the colors until you find something you prefer.Margins
I had to go back into PSP and make the image bigger to fit properly in the message area and these settings shown of 100 150 100 100 look like they suit for this stationery.
Now select the backgound color. Use what I have or simply play around with the colors until you find something just right for you.
Insert Image
Click on 'Browse, navigate to the pic, pictures_top.jpg (where you filed it in your computer) and click open. The little line of pictures should now be showing at the top of the page, on the right side of the Stationery Creator. Select 'Top Center' in the Background Alignment.
Background Sound
I took the opportunity to include a Midi Music file in this stationery. When a person receives an email using this stationery it will open with the music playing. If the receiver does not want the music playing they just have to click on the mute button at top left of the message preview window. To insert background for this tutorial click on the little music icon under 'Background Sound'. When the pop-up comes up, go to your music files and click on 'cavatina' midi, click open and it will start playing in the Stationery Creator.
Message Area

Click on 'Sections' and select Message Area. Click 'Browse' and locate the pic, messagearea1.jpg and open it.
The backgrond color for the message area is already set because of the graphic. In the Message Border (play with the styles yourself) area put 5 in the width box, and select 'dotted' in the style box. I chose yellow for the dotted Style color.
In the Message text margins, I selected 20 20 20 200, you might like to play with the settings here. The 200 setting for the right is to ensure type does not go across the graphic. In the "Use Stationery Font area" I selected Verdana size 10 and a Plum color as shown (I also clicked on the Bold button.) This is how your stationery should look.
The stationery is finished, now we have to save it.
Name and Save StationeryAt the top left select a name for your stationery (if you have not already done so). Click on 'File' and 'Save As'.If you do not have a misc Folder then right click in a clear section and choose 'Create a new directory' or save it in a folder you have that is suitable. Name it Pictures. Now click on the Misc folder and it will appear on the save stationery pop up - click 'save stationery as'. It will be saved to your WikMail program and can be viewed in the send mail.
Create .exe File
Click on 'File' again. select 'Export to Zip .exe File'. Select Misc and the name of the stationery which will be listed there. Uncheck ZIP and check EXE and click on Execute. The .exe file will be stored in your WikMail Program, Zipped Stationery. You do not have to make an .exe file. The reason for making it is so it can be posted on a website or be sent to someone.
